Title: All My Rowdy Friends Have Settled Down Artist: Elliott Smith 1,413 plays

All My Rowdy Friends Have Settled Down - Elliott Smith
originally by Hank Williams Jr.

With Hank Williams Jr. getting more press than he has in years (after getting himself fired from Monday Night Football for the insane comments he made last week), I thought it would be a great time to post Elliott Smith covering this old Bocephus tune, recorded at Largo back in the late 90s.  Elliott’s cover is sincere and jokey all at once, proving that he could literally make any song sound good.  And, as he was near the peak of his powers here (right around the recording of XO), he makes this (somehow) sound damn good.
